Qatar
Fertilizer Company: QAFCO was founded in 1969 as
a joint venture between the State of Qatar, Norsk Hydro
Norway, Davy Power gas , and Hambros Bank, to produce
Ammonia & Urea by utilizing Qatar's abundant gas
resources. The company is now owned by Industries Qatar
(IQ) as 75% shareholder and Yara International as 25%
shareholder.
QAFCO's inception in 1969 as a joint venture company to produce chemical fertilisers was the first and a significant step in Qatar's industrial diversification program to utilize its abundant natural gas resources. Since then QAFCO has steered its way successfully, responding adequately to the world market demand for fertiliser and living up to the expectations of its shareholders, IQ and Yara.

Gulf. Through its supply of natural gas from Qatar,
Dolphin Energy will also bring together three GCC nations
– the UAE, Qatar and Oman – in a regional
energy network for the very first time.
Qatar
Seel Company: On its inauguration, Qatar Steel Company
became the first integrated steel plant in the whole
Arabian Gulf. Steel production started in 1978. The
mill is located in Mesaieed Industrial City, 45 kilometers
south of Doha, the capital.
The Plant consists primarily
of four units, Direct Reduction, Electric Arc Furnace,
Continuous Casting, and Rolling Mill. Other auxiliaries
include the Material Receiving/Handling, Main Power
Substation, Quality Control Centre, Maintenance Shops,
and other facilities as sea/fresh water, compressed
air, natural gas and a clinic.
Today, the plant with
its offices, occupies an area of 707,000 sq. meters,
adjacent is a further area of 375,000 sq. meters reserved
for future development and expansion.
Hamad Medical Corporation
Hamad Medical Corporation (HMC) is the premier hospital of Qatar. Lots of nursing jobs are offered every year by HMC. HMC conducts interviews for nurses in India, Philipines etc.
